DRAGON BALL FighterZ returns to the Evo stage for its fourth time, and the community’s passion has never been stronger. Evo 2023 is the first stop for the DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour and the only Power+ event. Our Top 6 players will start the tour with a massive power boost. Who made it out as the strongest DRAGON BALL FighterZ player in the universe? Let’s find out!

Evo 2022 2nd Place Winner Nitro starts the Top 6 strong, moving into the Winners Finals with HIKARI joining them. Gropis ended Kite’s run in the Top 6 in Losers Semi-Finals with a villainous team combo with Frieza, Beerus, and Vegeta. While Nitro seemed to dominate the Winners Side, HIKARI brought them to the fifth game in their set and won the Winners Finals. HIKARI reached the Grand Finals in a major fighting game tournament for the first time in their career.

Meanwhile, in the Losers Semi-Finals Gropis and Yasha put on a phenomenal show. The crowd unlocked a new tier of energy. Yasha eliminated Gropis and joined Nitro in the Losers Finals, creating a runback of last year’s Winners Final! History did NOT repeat itself. Yasha took the victory and joined HIKARI in the Grand Finals.

HIKARI and Yasha duke it out in a mirror match between Vegeto, Gogeta, and Android 17! Yasha returned from the Losers Side with a vengeance, and when a reset seemed to be guaranteed, HIKARI returned to bring things 2-2. HIKARI claimed the final victory with an incredible read, becoming the DRAGON BALL FighterZ Evo 2023 Champion! HIKARI's win grants them a Finals spot in the DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour, a phenomenal DBFZ trophy, and a massive 600 points to start the circuit.
