From the exciting games and announcements to the devoted developers and creators, The Game Awards gave us plenty to be excited about. While we’d love to highlight every moment, let’s look at all the fighting game announcements and updates shared at the show.

While many incredible fighting games were present at The Game Awards, there could only be one winner for Fighting Game of the Year. Street Fighter 6 took home the award, and it was well deserved. Congratulations to our friends at Capcom for this remarkable achievement.

Elphelt Valentine returns as the next DLC fighter in Guilty Gear -Strive- Season Pass 3. She arrives with a fresh style and her new band, Speothos Venaticus. Elphelt trades in her bouquet for a microphone and is ready to spread joy through her music. Guilty Gear -Strive- also received a balance update alongside Elphelt’s release, including new special moves for Axl Low and Potemkin.

Also announced at The Game Awards, Guilty Gear -Strive- is getting a new six-player game mode in 2024! Team of 3 pits two teams against each other online. Players can experience the new game mode in 2024. Stay tuned for more details!
