The Evo TEKKEN 8 Showcase brings together seven of the most storied TEKKEN 7 players worldwide. Together, they will kickstart the competition for the latest entry in the series, giving players and fans a glimpse of what to expect of high-level play when TEKKEN 8 launches on January 26, 2024. As we prepare for the excitement, join us as we look back at the impact and achievements of these players on their road to becoming champions through to today.

Nobi

Daichi "Nobi" Nakayama is the first TEKKEN 7 Evo Champion, earning the title in 2015 after a reset against AO at 3:2. Nobi also won the first TEKKEN 7 global circuit, The King of Iron Fist 2015. He is known as one of the best Dragunov players in the world. He began his competitive career with TEKKEN 6 at the World Cyber Games 2011, winning 3:0.

Saint

Choi "Saint" Jin-woo is the second TEKKEN 7 Evo Champion, following Nobi by winning both Evo 2016 and The King of Iron Fist 2016. Saint started his career in 2013 with his win in the TEKKEN Global Championship against his later teammate, JDCR. Saint would later win CEO 2017, Tokyo TEKKEN Masters 2017, and VSFighting 2018.

JDCR

Kim "JDCR" Hyun-jin earned the third TEKKEN 7 Evo Championship title in 2017, but that wasn’t his first Evo victory. He also achieved the TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 Evo 2014 Championship. In 2017, JDCR won 11:16 major TEKKEN 7 tournaments he entered, creating a historic global run and establishing himself further alongside his expert use of Dragunov.

JDCR’s career began in 2011 in Final Round 16, winning in TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2. He also won in TTT2 at the Major League Gaming Fall Championship in 2012, transitioning his focus to TEKKEN 7 and achieving victory at REV Major, VS Fighting, Dreamolition Derby IV, THE MIXUP, SoCal Regionals, and TWFighter Major, all in 2017. JDCR continued their wins into 2018 with the TEKKEN World Tour Korea Masters in 2018.

Knee

Bae "Knee" Jae-Min is the fourth TEKKEN 7 Evo Champion, thanks to his win at Evo Japan 2018 and later in Evo 2022. Knee is an extraordinarily decorated player. He won an earlier Evo title for TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2 in 2013, among other events like COMBO BREAKER, CEO, and VSFighting. While his professional career began in 2010 with his win at the World Cyber Games tournament, Knee has played competitively since 2004. On October 9, 2021, Knee earned an additional accolade, becoming the first player to reach TEKKEN God Omega rank in TEKKEN 7 with every character in the roster.

LowHigh

Yoon "LowHigh" Sun-woong is the fifth TEKKEN 7 Evo champion, earning his title in Evo 2018. LowHigh started his career more recently than the others on this list, beginning in 2016 when he competed in The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2016. Since then, LowHigh has maintained a consistent presence in TEKKEN tournaments worldwide. Most recently, LowHigh earned 2nd at Thaiger Uppercut 2023.

Arslan Ash

Arslan "Arslan Ash" Siddique is the sixth TEKKEN 7 Evo Champion and a four-time Evo Champ overall. Throughout his professional career, starting in 2018, he won Evo Japan 2019, Evo 2019, Evo Japan 2023, and Evo 2023, making a name for himself and bringing Pakistan into the FGC spotlight. Arslan Ash has earned numerous additional titles at events like CEO, COMBO BREAKER, and VSFighting.

Book

Nopparut "Book" Hempamorn is the seventh TEKKEN 7 Evo Champion, earning his title from Evo Japan 2020. Book has had a strong presence in numerous global tournaments for TEKKEN 7, TEKKEN Tag Tournament 2, and other major fighting titles. In 2018, Book placed 1st at Thaiger Uppercut, defeating Knee from the lower bracket.
