Australia’s largest fighting game major, Battle Arena Melbourne, hosted its 13th installment on June 9 - 11, 2023. With GS| RB Arslan Ash — the COMBO BREAKER 2023 winner and current TEKKEN World Tour 2023 point leader — absent from the TEKKEN 7 bracket, the stage was set for a new champion to emerge at Melbourne’s Master tier event.

DRX KNEE claimed first in the bracket after dropping early to GoBack Chand NY’s Leo in the first round of the top 8. He came alive in the losers bracket, using five different characters on his path to his first TWT 2023 tournament win and eliminating his teammates DRX Infested and DRX CHANEL in the process.

VARREL Rangchu took second place, picking up wins on Infested, CHANEL, and Chand NY to make the grand finals from the winners side. Chand NY represented Australia as the sole local player in the top 8, defeating KNEE in the winners bracket before falling to Rangchu in the winners finals and KNEE’s Negan in the losers finals for third.
